Understand the topic
Conflict may reflect different priorities, unclear expectations or distress. Understanding a concern does not mean agreeing with harmful behaviour. Immediate safety changes what you can reasonably do.
How to discuss it in Med interview
Choose a private, safe setting where possible. Describe the issue without accusations, ask for the other person's perspective and listen. Identify a shared aim, discuss realistic options and agree who will do what next. If behaviour threatens safety or the problem exceeds your role, seek appropriate support promptly. Explain how you would follow up.
Put it into words
I noticed we have different versions of the task deadline. Can we check the brief together and agree which work needs doing first? This keeps the conversation focused on a solvable problem.
Common pitfalls
Public confrontation, assuming bad intentions, or promising a solution that depends on someone else's authority.
